Who we are

Pro-Pods were developed from the need to have more robust emergency vehicle lighting. Since the mid 1990’s, Ward Fabrication has been dealing with repeated broken lighting systems on customers vehicles and equipment. The need to have a system that was not only rugged enough to stand up to the punishments of the conditions surrounding construction, marine and all around outdoor environments, but also the need to be user friendly and simple to install, raised some challenges. With that goal in mind, we set out to design the best system we could that would meet all the goals of our customers needs.

After some serious R&D, and of course testing with hammers, we developed the Pro-Pod modular lighting system.

The Pro-Pod system is by far the most durable modular strobe light housing available on the market to date. The Pro-Pod system needed to be super rugged, so we custom designed our own extrusion to enable strength where it was needed and form to keep it sleek and attractive. We needed to break through the age old way of connecting light systems of using butt connectors and chunks of wire, so we designed into our system a waterproof plug and play cable system that allows customization and modularity. With our customers in mind, we designed our system to be complex enough to make the user experience simple and streamlined, while maintaining simplicity enough to allow the system to be installed by the user and not require special tooling or complex wiring schematics that can sometimes lead to costly installs. We chose the LED light head made by SoundOff Signal due to it’s superior durability and longevity.
